Terms and Conditions

The mentorship programme begins on 1 September each calendar year and lasts until 30 June the following calendar year.

Applications are accepted year-round, but the cut-off for applications for the coming year is 1 July. Applications received after this date will be considered for the following year.

Only one applicant will be successful per year. Unsuccessful applicants must wait until after 1 July to reapply.

An example of applicants’ writing in the form of a link to a publicly accessible website must be provided to demonstrate writing ability.

Applicants must be within travelling distance of Thanet, UK, as this programme includes face-to-face meetings within the Thanet area on a monthly basis (currently undertaken virtually due to COVID-19).

Successful applicants are chosen based on a selection of criteria including quality of writing, potential as interpreted by Seb Reilly, and application form content. An informal interview is required prior to acceptance to ensure both parties are happy to commence the mentorship.

Applicants will receive an initial response within six weeks of application.
