Oh dear. This has to be the worst it can get. The story has become convoluted and contrite, yet still Tobin Bell shows up and does his flashback scenes. Kevin Greutert directs this mess, poorly, in his feature directing debut. Costas Mandylor and Betsy Russell carry on with their respective roles, and everyone else sleepwalks through this abomination. The writing is sub-par, even for a trash-and-gore-fest like the other Saw sequels, and this just feels redundant.
I suspect that’s because it is. Avoid.
