Clifford the Big Red Dog
There’s a big red dog in this.
I don’t know why.
Yes, it’s based on a beloved children’s story, but this is rubbish. Why has Jack Whitehall got a deep American accent, especially when his sister does not? Why is the CGI so bad? The size of the dog is inconsistent, the plot doesn’t make sense, scenes just happen for no purpose; the entire film is an insult to any child who wanted to see something entertaining. Terrible script, poor directing, and bad performances all round including from John Cleese as some kind of mystical something-or-other who is maybe important but doesn’t seem to care.
Avoid.
