By Enshrouded, A Poem by Seb Reilly

From misty mire behold the fades
of sodden air which softly greys
apart from sky it lingers low
concealing trails of murky woe.

Abandoned roads do not forget
the land awaits to be upset
a foot to step and break the seal
the sentence passed is due repeal.

Earthen souls beneath weary treads
once uprooted drift from beds
and float above the path unseen
to wade amongst the space between.

And in the fog they dwell around
the figures hover over ground
with silent comfort passed in grace
a view translucent to this place.

Then whispers slip beyond the shroud
in sudden light which quashes cloud
bereft of choice release the thread
and hail the glimpse of sighted dead.
